As a brand photographer in Lemont, IL, with my own business on Main Street, I’ve had the chance to connect and work with several incredible business owners in the area! I also understand the importance of commercial brand photography and how it can really take your marketing and your overall brand presence to the next level.  

As a woman-owned business myself, I wanted to share about five other women-owned businesses that I have had the pleasure of working with. I wanted to not only highlight them (because they are some pretty awesome businesses), but also show off just how powerful commercial brand photography can be for your business!

Martellen’s Bridal 

Martellen’s Bridal is a charming bridal shop where you can find unique and timeless wedding dresses that highlight the best version of you. Their number one goal is to help you find your dream wedding dress. They want to provide each and every bride with a fun, intimate experience from the moment you first walk into their boutique until you leave with your perfect bridal gown.

I had the chance to capture the owner, Marybeth’s, custom brand shoot right after she purchased Martellen’s – after she had been working there for years! I also created Martellen’s Bridal website, which is something that I don’t do often. However, I had so much fun working on their site and was thrilled they asked me to create it for them! Along with their website they also asked me to design their brand colors/fonts. 

We continue to work together every time they hire new team members. I always come in and take their headshots. You’ll also always find me in their shop with my camera when they change things throughout the store and want new, fresh photos to document it. 

Folklore Coffee 

Searching for amazing coffee in Lemont? Look no further than Folklore Coffee! They are dedicated to delivering exceptional food and drinks made with the finest ingredients. Plus, their coffee is absolutely irresistible. They also source organic products whenever possible and partner with local businesses to ensure everything they offer is fresh and of the highest quality! 

From their in-house-made products to expertly brewed coffee, they are passionate about providing a unique experience that celebrates flavor and community.

Folklore Coffee happens to be my business neighbor, as we are both right on the same block. I’ve done several monthly brand shoots with Folklore. I currently work with them monthly to create content for Folklore’s monthly featured drinks and the shop. Eventually, the plan is to feature Folklore’s employees and customers.

We have also done a combination of in-shop photos, studio product/beverage images, styled shoots, and short-form video. You can check out some of the content I’ve made for Folklore here – one of my favorites is the stop motion videos I created for them! 

Hive Fitness

Hive Fitness is my new neighbor here in Lemont! They are an amazing fitness studio whose goal is to improve the lives of its members through a holistic approach to wellness. 

Hive Fitness offers a variety of fitness classes (strength training, stretch and mobility, cardio/aerobic, balance, barre, yoga, and meditative), personal training, and lifestyle medicine workshops that are focused on improving the physical and mental aspects of well-being. 

They also offer a variety of membership and class pack options, so you can definitely find something that works for you and your schedule!

Hive Fitness and I first worked together for their brand shoot. We started by taking photos in my studio since their on-site location wasn’t ready yet. We got creative in my studio by capturing images of each class offering and headshots/action shots of the Hive Fitness team members. 

Now that Hive Fitness has a space next on the list, they are planning an in-person session to get custom stock images in their business space. 

Currently, Hive Fitness is a member of my monthly membership, the Content Club, so every month, we can add to Hive Fitness’s catalog of images and videos. You can learn more about the Content Club here! 

Pilates House 

Pilates House is a small group reformer and mat Pilates studio. They offer several different classes, including an intro to reformer class, a form and foundations class, a reformer pilates class, and a perinatal reformer pilates class. 

I helped feature Pilates House for the Lemont Downtown socials and blog posts. This feature was mostly videos in the Pilates House space, which you can check out here! 

Sweatin Sexy

Tosha, the owner of Sweatin Sexy, has created a really fun atmosphere in her studio, and they offer so many different classes, including dance, line dance, strength, and even pole dance fitness classes! 

At Sweatin Sexy fitness is more than just exercise – it’s about building a community. All of their members are supportive and encouraging, and their trainers are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

I took video and headshots of the team at Sweating Sexy for Lemont Downtown and their social and blog posts!
