Hello & welcome

Wondering how can you launch a rebrand? Rebranding isn’t just about tweaking your logo or swapping out one color within your color palette – it’s about breathing new life into your business. Your rebrand is your opportunity to showcase your business’s new direction and vision and re-engage your audience.

However, doing a rebrand without having a launch is like hosting a party without sending out the invites. Launching your rebrand builds excitement for what comes next for your business and ensures your audience is ready and paying attention.

As a brand photographer, I wanted to share with you, from my experience, some different ways that you can launch your rebrand to create the impact you’re striving for.

Read on to discover my top five tips for how to launch a rebrand.

How to Launch a Rebrand

Take brand photos with your new brand colors

Updating your photos is one of the best (and most fun) ways to show your business’s evolution. They are also the perfect way to announce your brand refresh to your audience and showcase your new tone, values, and personality.

Since your branding photos are meant to help sell your product or service and make money for you and your business, you’ll want to make sure they align with your new look.

Updated brand images are about more than just aesthetics. They tell the story of how your business is changing and growing. Furthermore, they help you build a deeper connection with your audience.

You can infuse your brand colors into your branding photoshoot by wearing clothes or accessories in those colors. Additionally, you can include different props with your colors or even products that feature your new branding.

Your photographer can assist you with picking out the perfect outfits and props that align with your branding. That said, it’s still valuable for you to think about how each element will communicate your brand’s new message and how it supports your overall business goals.

Tease your new brand

Your rebrand is a big deal! I want you to think about how you can build anticipation and excitement around it.

You don’t have to spoil the surprise that your business is going through a rebrand all at once. With a rebrand, what I don’t want to happen to you is that you alienate your current audience by springing this news on them all of a sudden.

Or that they lack clarity and understanding as to why you even decided to rebrand in the first place. The goal should be to make your audience as excited as possible about your rebrand and ensure that they are ready for this change. So how can you do this?

Map out a launch plan

Start with mapping out a launch plan. I know that might sound boring or time-consuming, but I promise it doesn’t have to be.

Here’s all you need to do: a few weeks before you announce your rebrand, start to tease your audience that you have a big announcement/surprise to make. Or just let them know that something new is headed their way.

For example, you can publish one of your new branding photos on your social media. You don’t even have to show the full image – you could just show part of the photo and blur out the rest.

You can also have your audience even try to guess what your announcement is by creating engaging polls or asking them to leave comments underneath your published image.

Then, a week or so before your launch date, start sharing sneak peeks of your new brand, such as your new logo or more branding photos. Be sure to take your audience along for the journey—it’s way more fun and also keeps your audience on their toes and wanting to engage with your content.

As your launch date gets closer and closer you can start dripping out your new branding. Then on your launch day make the official announcement with your new highlight covers, images, and updated website.

Update your social media and website with your new branding and brand photos

Show off your new brand with confidence! That means it’s time to refresh your website and update it with your beautiful new branding photos, give your social media highlight covers a makeover, and update your colors and logos.

You want anyone who comes across your website or social media to recognize you instantly, and that starts with creating a cohesive image across all of your platforms.

Up your online presence by getting branded videos to use throughout your launch and website

Your rebrand doesn’t just have to happen through branding photos – you can also get stunning branding videos that you can use for your launch and on your website.

Branding videos are great to have on your website; they’re scroll-stopping and grab attention. Here’s the truth—a branded video on your website will create more engagement and a multisensory experience for your website visitors.

Videos can also show your brand’s personality, values, and unique selling points while making it more memorable. They can also create higher conversion rates. There’s no good reason not to use video on your website, and the same goes for your social media.

Video platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels are continuing to grow in popularity. On average, you only have 2-3 seconds to capture the attention of a potential client who is scrolling, which is why fun, beautiful, branded videos can help you more easily do just this.

Your branding photoshoot is the perfect time to get some b-roll and aesthetic branded videos that you can pull out of your pocket and use as a creative, engaging way to launch your rebrand.

Host a giveaway/event

Host a giveaway or event to get your audience invested in your rebrand! Your rebrand doesn’t just have to be a couple of social media posts and a website refresh. A virtual giveaway or event is a surefire way to ensure that your audience is paying attention to what’s happening. They’ll also be taking an interest in your rebrand.

Also, if you have an in-person business, you can even have a launch party to celebrate your new rebrand!

Your launch party can feature your products with your new branding and can be on theme with your brand. You could even send out invites with your new branding or have souvenirs guests can take home that include your new logo, colors, etc.

Also, for anyone who purchases an item at your launch event, you can drop their name in a raffle or giveaway. Make sure to add your new branding to balloons, napkins, and anything else your guests can carry.
